We also pay respect to Elders both past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples visiting our workplace and website.

We are committed to building strong relationships with Indigenous people and organisations across Australia. Our aim is to support Indigenous people and organisations to build stronger communities through business.
Aboriginal Participation Plan
In developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (or Aboriginal Participation Plan) in accordance with various state initiatives across Australia. The basis Wamee’s plan is to ensure:
- equal opportunities for all, including our nation’s first peoples
- develop and build our nations young people into future leaders.
Wamee are also engaging in the following activities to strive toward our social benefit targets:
- Exploring the use of a company such as Aboriginal Employment Strategy (AES) to help source and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in to careers that may be suitable at Wamee. This will include the implementation of a contingent aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander workforce.
- Increasing opportunities for Indigenous businesses to join our supply chain through a connection with Supply Nation and Black Business Finder.
